Design Coordinator
Description
This position is responsible for creating a build ready package for production and managing the design process throughout the life of the project including permit ready drawings, all material specifications, and all work orders by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities
- Works with sales, estimating and production in creation of project packages.
- Acts as the first contact person as design questions and issues arise in the field.
- Provide selection cut sheets and samples to Sales Representatives and Customer Service for verification reference
- Field questions from Sales Representatives, Customer Service and Customers.
- Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
- Familiarity of EPS-DXF-PDF to create files in CAD
- Creation of CAD files for estimators
- Management of Designer’s schedules
- Work with Shipping and Prepress on digital samples.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Experience in Graphics Design
- Junior designer experience a plus
- CAD Experience
- Organizational and Time Management skills necessary
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Familiarity with relevant computer software and hardware programs
- Experience working with various operating systems
- Has advanced specialized computer skills that require mastery of applicable software:
- Artios Software a plus
- CAD
- Amtech
- Smart Plan
